Can I use Text to Image Canva Tool to Generate a Candy Image ?

Text to Image tool in Canva is an app that you can access from Canva, and that you can use to generate new images simply by describing them with a text.

Since today (the day of writing and publishing this post) is a National Cotton Candy Day, I used the tool to generate an image about Candy. I used one of the generated images, to create this post card image.

Simply follow these steps:

• To use the tool, click on the Apps icon, from the right side menu.

• Click on the Text to Image icon; also from the right side menu, but if you don't find it, simply write on the search bar: text to image. After that, click on the Use button

• Write your description of the image, for example: "Candy in a basket", then select one of the following styles:
  1. A random Choice: Surprise Me Button
  2. A photo like image: Photo Button
  3. A drawing like image: Drawing Button
  4. A 3D perspective of the described objects in the text: 3D Button
  5. A Painting like image: Painting Button
  6. A pattern created with the image described: Pattern Button. It may not be obvious to identify the pattern, like in our case. Different candies layed out, will represent a pattern.
  7. An artistic painting created with the described text: Concept Art Button

  After selecting the style, you click on the Generate image button. You will have four proposed images to choose from


• When you select one of the proposed images, the selected image will automatically be added to your design and uploaded to your space. Keep in mind that the tool is improving, so you may find that some of the proposed images are not quite correctly generated. This is why you have to check the images before finalizing your choice. If none of the 4 images satisfies you, you can simply click on the generate button again. Because; and this is the good thing about the app, each time you click on the Generate image button, it will create new set of images, with the same style, and the same description text.

Even if I said earlier that the tool is improving, you can use it to generate your images, as I did for this post image card. But there is something that you can help with, is that you report each time the generated images describe negative behavior. You simply click on the report these images link, you select the concerned images, then you select the type of behavior being described.
